What Made Me Become A photographer?
In 2009, my oldest daughter passed away at 2 days old from a condition called Hydrops Fetalis. Since we were life-flighted across the state of South Dakota to get to a children's hospital, we didn't have any of our personal belongings with us. When she died, the hospital had a photographer come and take BEAUTIFUL images of my Elizabeth Capri. I knew shortly after that I wanted to be that photographer for someone else. I have now served over 50 bereaved families and will ALWAYS do so free of charge.
In 2011, I found my passion for birth photography as well! I love the on call life and I love documenting family trees growing even larger than before. It is my biggest passion in life.
In 2019, I won best birth photographer for the state of Utah and am absolutely honored to have that title. I work alongside some pretty amazing birth photographers and we are a strong community who always has each others backs.
I am a birth mom to one, a mom to four angel babies and raising four at home. I also have an amazing service animal named Molly and she is pretty stinking awesome. Life could not get better than this.
